Ozark Mountain Logging & Tree Service was established in 1998 by Shane Long, a third-generation logger who inherited a deep respect for the Ozarks and its forests. Starting with just one log skidder and a chainsaw, Shane built the company with the vision of providing reliable, top-tier services grounded in trust and integrity.
From those humble beginnings, Ozark Mountain Logging has grown into a leading provider of logging and tree services throughout Springfield, MO, and the surrounding areas. Meet Our Founder
Shane Long, born and raised in Sarcoxie, MO, has always been passionate about conservation and the outdoors. As an avid outdoorsman, professional angler, and third-generation logger, Shane’s life revolves around preserving the natural beauty of the Ozarks. He collaborates closely with the Missouri Department of Conservation to ensure sustainable forestry practices that maintain healthy habitats for native wildlife.
When he’s not working in the forest, Shane enjoys spending time with his wife, Mandy, their three daughters, and three granddaughters. His dedication to family, community, and the environment is at the heart of everything Ozark Mountain Logging & Tree Service stands for.
